Highest stablecoins interest rates 2024

If you’re looking for a way to grow your savings faster and safer than ever before, you might want to consider crypto stablecoins. Crypto stablecoins are digital currencies that are pegged to the value of fiat currencies like the US dollar, british pound, or even gold. They offer high interest rates of up to 10% per year, compared to the average bank deposit rate of less than 1%. Plus, they are backed by real assets or smart contracts, which means they are less volatile and more secure than other cryptocurrencies. In this article, we’ll show you how to get started with crypto stablecoin investing, and how to choose the best platforms and strategies for your needs.

There are many more stablecoins that are pegged to different currencies or commodities, such as euro, yen, gold, silver, etc. But these are some of the most common stablecoins that you can find in the crypto market.

  • Tether (USDT) is the largest and oldest stablecoin, with a market capitalization of over $83 billion. It is pegged to the U.S. dollar at a 1:1 ratio, and claims to be backed by reserves of fiat currency and other assets. However, Tether has faced some controversies and lawsuits over its transparency and auditability.
  • USD Coin (USDC) is the second-largest stablecoin, with a market capitalization of over $25 billion. It is also pegged to the U.S. dollar at a 1:1 ratio, and is backed by reserves of fiat currency held by regulated financial institutions. It is issued by Circle and Coinbase, and is audited regularly by independent firms.
  • TrueUSD (TUSD) is another popular centralized stablecoin, with a market capitalization of over $3 billion. It is also pegged to the U.S. dollar at a 1:1 ratio, and is backed by reserves of fiat currency held by escrow accounts. It is issued by TrustToken, a platform that enables tokenization of real-world assets.
  • DAI is the largest decentralized stablecoin, with a market capitalization of over $5 billion. It is pegged to the U.S. dollar at a 1:1 ratio, but instead of being backed by fiat currency or other assets, it is backed by overcollateralized crypto assets locked in smart contracts on the Ethereum blockchain. It is issued by MakerDAO, a decentralized autonomous organization that governs the Dai protocol.
  • USDD is a decentralized stablecoin that is pegged to the U.S. dollar at a 1:1 ratio, and is backed by a basket of cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ethereum and TRON. It is issued by the TRON DAO Reserve, a decentralized community of stakeholders who govern the USDD protocol. It is available on TRON, Ethereum and BNB Chain blockchains.
  • PAX Gold (PAXG): PAX Gold is a centralized stablecoin that is pegged to the value of one troy ounce of gold. It is backed by physical gold bars held in vaults by Paxos Trust Company. It is approved by the New York State Department of Financial Services and is audited regularly by independent firms. It has a market capitalization of over $600 million.

Now let`s move on to the list of the highest stablecoin interest rates across different platforms:

First of all, you have to understand that you can get a maximum interest rate only on a limited amount or during a fixed time, but, unfortunately, not both. After knowing that you have to decide based on how much time/effort you have or plan to put into managing your portfolio management. From my point of view, and especially if you are starting and don`t have a lot of money the best way is to diversify your portfolio and spread your investments across different platforms, thus decreasing the risk of the platform going away as it was with FTX and SVB Bank in the past. Also, simple ern/deposits shouldn`t be your the only investment, but rather the most conservative part that has to keep your money value against inflation.

Another this that there are a lot of complex derivetive products on the market which are harder to understood by beginners. So here I collected the most simple one, similar to bank deposits, but still there are some newances which can get you more/less interest %. For example some exchanges offer tiered percentage levels, i.e. you will get 100500% for the first 200$, and 1.5% for the rest, so pay attention.
